What's the Scoop"

My dog has suffered from intense skin allergies for quite awhile. It seemed that every Spring and every Autumn we had to take several trips to the veterinarian to get her skin flair ups under control. She would scratch and itch and pace around all night long. She would sometimes gnaw on her own skin to the point of causing deep inflammation and even infection. At the vets we were constantly told that our only treatment options were expensive allergy testing and allergy shots OR expensive prescription medication. The vet would push this allergy medication but never talk about possible side effects. Often her allergy flair ups would involve ear infections as well and we would be sent home with medicated ointment, antibiotics, skin spray and her ears would have to be cleaned out professionally at the vet. This was an endless and vicious cycle that cost a large amount of money at the vet. We were also usually charged fees to test her ears and skin for yeast. And usually any allergy appointment would involve additional expensive follow up visits to the vet often times being charged again for more testing. One year she had a tremendous allergy flair up!!! I had never seen it this bad. It was the Spring/Summer period and we had already been to the vet for her allergies. The vet was now pushing prescription allergy medicine quite assertively and not offering any alternative and not discussing side effects at all. I felt hopeless and scared. I had never seen my dog this bad before. I didn’t want to put her on prescription pills (that were also extremely expensive) without fully understanding the side effects. But I didn’t know what else to do for her? She wasn’t sleeping. Every night was just endless pacing about. It was constant itching and digging on her skin. Her skin was inflamed to the point I had to put an e-collar on her so she would stop digging. She was having endless allergic reactions that seemed completely uncontrollable. I’ll never forget the first time I had a consultation with Nicole via phone. She was so calm and reassuring. (I was quite emotionally stressed out at the time) so I remember how calming her presence was. To begin with, she knew everything about the prescription allergy medicine my vet wanted to put my dog on. She knew all about the side effects and urged me not to go down that road. Nicole believed that her allergies could be treated holistically and naturally. I was shocked! No one had ever given me any options before for allergy treatment. We started by talking about my dog’s diet. My dog had been eating a chicken based diet and Nicole had a lot of information about how many dogs actually suffer from chicken based allergies and just changing the protein in her diet could make a huge difference! Nicole began educating me about raw food. I learned a lot from her consultations via phone and the information she provided me via email and text message. Just changing my dog’s diet reduced her allergy symptoms immediately! I was so pleased. I actually started to see a way to treat my dog’s allergies whereas before I felt completely helpless. Next Nicole began suggesting herbal supplements to me that I had never heard of before. She began teaching me about herbal powder supplements I could add to my dog’s food. She had us start o4 Leaf Rover Harmony that almost completely knocked out the rest of dog’s allergies. The next step was to start on CBD Dog Health’s Vitality which seemed to alleviate all of my dog’s skin and allergy symptoms. I would like to note that this is the first time in YEARS we have made it through an Autumn and Spring without having to run to the vet for allergy problems. We actually haven’t been to the vet in quite a while which is unusual for us because previously we were running to the office every few months for either skin allergies or IBS problems. That’s the other thing. When Nicole had us switch to a raw diet my dog’s lifetime IBS problems went away! Nicole was very patient with my questions. She is super passionate about dogs and has a deep love of them and it shows in her communication and commitment to helping you help your dog. My dog’s IBS added a whole other layer of issues to deal with. But Nicole never gave up and always came back with more information, advice and tactics to try and get her IBS and skin allergies under control at the same time. I felt like we were working towards a new idea of complete holistic health for my dog Keeva. I feel like that’s where we are now. Keeva now has a level of harmony and well-being that she’s never experienced before! We just had a visit from a family member who pointed out that they had never seen Keeva so fit and wonderfully healthy! And it’s so amazing for her to be allergy free and vibrant! And it’s such a blessing for me to see it and experience it with her! And I really credit Nicole for my dog’s restored health and everything she’s done for us!!! Thank you Nicole!

Rex will be seven this year. He’s a rescue (2019) and this home is his fourth. He’s smart, funny, protective and, innately, knows his jobs. I’m so thankful for him. I noticed we were in the vet’s office about every month for one thing or another . . . . they told me he has the thickest file in the office and he’s only 7 years old. He wasn’t staying asleep at night. He wanted to go outside in the wee hours of the morning and then would stand in front of his bowl as if he hadn’t eaten all day. I was done and tired. I’ve known Nikki 30 years and when I saw she was a nutritional pet advocate I contacted her immediately via Facebook. That was December 31, 2024. Six months later, Rex is happy, thinner, sleeping, doesn’t stand by his bowl in the middle of the night, has few allergies, and loves mealtime. I don’t find the end result to be that expensive. Let’s be real . . . . dog food is expensive and it doesn’t matter how crappy or “healthy” it claims to be. It’s pricey. Nikki formulates a plan but before she does that she LISTENS. She hears what concerns you have about your pet and she treats them as her own. She trained ME to help Rex via phone calls, texts and Zoom meetings. She provides research to back up her plan, she provides a shopping list from websites and stores that use the best possible ingredients for our pets. This whole food approach is really good. Rex and I are forever grateful!

My sweet 12 year old Goldendoodle was given 4 months to live after a major abdominal cancer. We were devastated. That was 11 months ago! We contacted Nikki and she was so knowledgeable and loving, not to mention incredibly patient with all my questions! We followed her Foundational Feeding Framework exactly and now she is full remission! My vet even wrote down every thing that we are feeding because even he was blown away with how well she has recovered. Her body seems much more healthy than before the cancer diagnosis. She even is playful again and enjoys her life! This program has given us more time with her and we couldn’t be more grateful! No more kibble EVER for her again! Thank you Nikki, from the bottom of our hearts.
